Stranger Things Season 4 Poster
Netflix has released a new poster for season 4 of stranger things. It’s a stunning piece of art that features every character’s background, accompanied by an Upside Down monster.
Each one is designed by artist Butcher Billy and feature a scene from the series that’s truly spine-chilling. Check out the gallery below!
001: Russia
The cast of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things is headed back to Hawkins, Indiana to tackle a monster-filled season 4 that’s set to be their biggest yet. And in the spirit of full disclosure, we’re also going to tell you that one of the most important characters in all of this is Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour), who’s been on the lam since his fateful visit through the Upside Down.
So, it’s no surprise that a new poster has been released to tease Season 4, which drops in February 2020. The new ad features a 50 second clip of the show’s most famous member of the Byers family — a shaved and buzzed Hopper, sporting a ushanka hat and a determined look on his face.
Unlike the other teasers that have come out, this one isn’t just a gimmick. A bright red area glows in the center of this poster, which looks like a tentacled portal to the Upside Down.
This new ad is the brainchild of Kyle Lambert, an illustrator for Stranger Things. He took to Twitter to share the ad with fans, and it’s been spotted on Instagram Stories by many, including Netflix itself.
While this ad is certainly the most obtrusive on the internet, it’s not the only thing Netflix has done to tease Season 4. They’ve also released character posters featuring Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper, as well as a “tick-tock” poster of their most recent episode in question. The latter is the more impressive of the two, and it’s certainly the most memorable ad we’ve seen in the past month.
002: California
In the trailer and the first poster for Stranger Things 4, we see the Byers family has moved out of Hawkins to California. Joyce, her children Will and Jonathan and their adopted daughter Eleven have all set up their new lives in the sun, but it’s not going to be easy.
In addition to the newest location, Stranger Things season 4 will also feature some new characters and a mysterious haunted house. Ahead of the series’ release on May 27th, Netflix has released a handful of teaser posters, each depicting one of the four storylines that will converge in the upcoming season.
The Creel House, a gothic mansion in Hawkins, has been the focus of all three posters. The ominous posters all feature a group of people gathered in the room, with a giant clock hanging over their heads.
It seems that the gang will be returning to the Creel House again for this new season of the show, and if these new posters are anything to go by, this new location will certainly be scary.
As we can see from the teaser posters, the Creel House will have some serious ties to both the Upside Down and Hawkins Lab. As a result, it will be crucial to find out more about this haunted house.
With this in mind, it makes sense that the group will head to the Creel House for a big reveal, especially as they have already gone to the Upside Down counterpart of the haunted house. The group also plans on luring Vecna out of Creel House, while the other team will attack him from the Upside Down side of the house.
Aside from the haunted Creel House, the other major plotline in Stranger Things 4 will see Mike and his friends traveling to Nevada to visit Eleven at a secret facility where she was once treated for her powers. This will be a huge change for Eleven, as she’ll be seeing her past for the first time in years.
003: The Upside Down
When Eleven psychically connected with a Demogorgon in Season 1, she opened a portal to an alternate dimension. The Upside Down looks very much like Earth – it’s populated with similar landmarks, with elements such as light, sound and gravity abide by the same rules we know and understand on Earth; however, a severe state of decay pervades the Upside Down, with membrane-like flora covering various surfaces and spores of mold or bacteria floating in the air.
The Upside Down is inhabited by the Demogorgon, a creature that has been in control of this dimension since Eleven banished it in 1979. It is also home to a number of other creatures, including the Mind Flayer.
It is possible to enter the Upside Down, as the scientists at Hawkins Lab have done many times. It’s not as dangerous to enter as it would be to go into the depths of space, but it is still toxic if humans spend too long in it.
In the Season 2 episode “The Upside Down,” Will Byers was able to enter the Upside Down through a partially resealed gate in the wall, and he even used it to speak to his mother. He stayed there for several days, and his time in the Upside Down made him sick.
Similarly, Nancy was trapped in the Upside Down while visiting Eddie’s trailer park; her body was momentarily shifted into a black void and she found herself ensnared by Vecna as he opened a gate to the Creel house, which is also connected to the Upside Down. She was unable to escape Vecna’s grip, and her body soon began to deteriorate.
Vecna was hive minded, meaning he had the power to reshape and influence all of the other creatures in this dimension. He is a powerful being, but he is also a dangerous one, capable of destroying everything he touches.
Vecna’s name comes from the Greek word for “worshiper of the Gods.” He’s also believed to have been a wizard, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. In addition to his powerful powers, Vecna is also known for being a terrifying spectral entity.
004: The Creel House
There are a lot of reasons to be excited about the upcoming season of Stranger Things. It’s been a while since the series last returned to our screens, but we’re ready to see what The Duffer Brothers and the cast have in store for us now.
As you might expect, the biggest buzz is around the Upside Down and Vecna’s return, but one of the most enticing aspects of the new season is the creepy Creel house. The eerie stained glass window from the front of the Creel house was also a big part of the trailer, and now you can get your hands on a replica of it in poster form.
The Stranger Things season 4 poster features Vecna and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) on the front, surrounded by fan-favorite characters such as Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Argyle, Steve, Nancy, and Robin on the back. The poster also includes an eerie red glow from the background that will make it hard to ignore.
This light-up poster is available to pre-order from Zavvi now. It’s a unique piece that will only be available to buy during its pre-order period, so don’t miss out on the chance to add it to your home before it becomes a coveted collectors item.
Using a special process, this light-up poster has a high-resolution print embedded in a slimline acrylic body. When turned on, it illuminates the Creel House in a way that will leave you in complete awe.
It’s a clever way to display the iconic stained-glass Rose Window, which is a huge part of the show’s history and has been featured in the Upside Down. As a result, this poster will be a true must-have for any fan of Stranger Things!
It’s not just the light-up poster that wowed viewers, but the actual creative idea behind it as well. This nifty trick involves embedding a dazzling inkjet print within a solid acrylic body. The poster then uses a backlight to turn the image into a glowing effect that’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. And it’s all for a fraction of the price you’d pay for a similar piece elsewhere.
